Henry Birt has demonstrated an ability to bring superior results to shareholders in highly complex environments in the renewable energy, energy, telecoms and consumer industries. He has worked with stakeholders, advisors, investor communities, and financial Authorities in Europe and North America. He has been a company director in the UK, Switzerland, the Nordic countries, Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland.
He’s professional background includes roles as Founder Partner with Voltere Capital Partners (2007-2009), specialist in financial advisory to European renewable energy project developers. Vice President Finance for Nortel Networks EMEA (2005-2007) the Global Telecoms infrastructure group. Advising management during an investigation by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, stabilised and rebuilt the finance and control and audit environment. Principal Finance Officer for TXU Energy in Europe (2000-2005) the US/UK leading Utility group with power generation, retail customers and energy trading activites. Worked closely with TXU board appointed administrators to sell and close businesses across Europe. Unilever PLC (1984-1999), finance management and director roles in UK and Switzerland, including Unilever Treasury and head of Investment management.
He is also an Advisory Board Member to E4Tech, since 2007. E4tech are a Sustainable Energy consulting group specialising in Biofuels, Hydrogen and Fuel Cells, and Energy Efficient Buildings, with national government and blue chip clients across commercial, investment and trade sectors.
