Andrew Aziz is Communications Manager and Editor, Bridges Trade BioRes. Mr. Aziz has an extensive background in communications activities related to international environment and trade policy.
His writing and editing expertise covers a wide range of crosscutting trade issues related to environment and natural resources, including climate change, fisheries, timber trade, biotechnology, and trade in environmental goods and services. He also closely follows and reports on sustainable development-related issues emerging from bilateral, regional, and multilateral trade negotiations.
Mr. Aziz began working with ICTSD in 2005 through a partnership with Canada’s International Institute for Sustainable Development and the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Previously, he has worked for organisations including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), Probe International, and the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada.
Mr. Aziz has a master’s degree in journalism from Carleton University and an undergraduate degree in international development studies and East Asian studies from York University. He is a citizen of Canada.
