Paolo GHISU is a Programme Officer for the Competitiveness and Development Program. He holds a Master in International Relations with a major in International Economics from the Trento Graduate School of International Studies and a BS in Economics and Social Science from the University of Trento, Italy. He also studied at The University of Melbourne of Australia, where he attended the Master of International Politics and conducted research on Chinese ethnic and minority policies at the Melbourne Institute of Asian Languages and Societies. Previously, he conducted field research in Tanzania, where he undertook monitoring and assessment of rural development projects in the Kipengere Range. He has worked as an intern in the Human Rights Department of the Permanent Mission of Italy in Geneva. He joined ICTSD in April 2008, where he firstly worked in the Regionalism Program, and now in the Competitiveness and Development Program. Mr. Ghisu is a citizen of Italy.
