Paolo Ghisu is Programme Officer for the Competitiveness and Development programme and the Aid for Trade programme. He joined ICTSD in April 2008, where he firstly worked in the Regionalism Program. Before joining ICTSD, he worked as intern in the Human Rights Department of the Permanent Mission of Italy in Geneva. He holds a Master in International Relations with a major in International Economics and a BS in Economics from the University of Trento. He also studied and performed research at the University of Melbourne on rural development and ethnic minority policies in China. Previously, he conducted field research in Tanzania, where he undertook monitoring and assessment of rural development projects in the Kipengere Range. Mr. Ghisu is a citizen of Italy.
