The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) will be hosting a panel discussion on the contribution that multi-stakeholder participation makes to the building of REDD-plus (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in Developing Countries) strategies in tropical forest nations.
The discussion will explore how stakeholder engagement can contribute to credible and implementable REDD-plus strategies. It will highlight past experiences of using forest governance and REDD readiness strategies, along with partnerships between government, civil society, and the private sector.
