ICTSD and the International Food & Agricultural Trade Policy Council (IPC) are organising an informal lunch gathering of select negotiators and experts to discuss the agriculture and food security issues that arise in the context of the ongoing climate negotiations. Daniel Martino, the coordinating lead author of the agriculture chapter for the 4th Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and Christophe Bellmann, Programmes Director at ICTSD, will open the discussion with a brief presentation on findings and recommendations from the ICTSD-IPC Platform on Climate Change, Agriculture and Trade. The remainder of the discussion will focus on the sectoral and adaptation discussions taking place in the climate negotiations, as they relate to agriculture and food security. We may also address other associated topics of interest to those who attend.
