This roundtable will address the outcome of the recent United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference held in Cancun, Mexico in December 2010. ICTSD and Geneva-based experts will discuss the various trade-related issues that are a part - or were left out of - that outcome. The discussion will cover the implications of the new instruments established under the agreement, including: the Technology Mechanism, Green Climate Fund, developing country mitigation registry, Adaptation Framework, and forum to address social and economic impacts of climate measures, among others. We shall also look at which trade-related issues were left out and why, as well as take a look into the coming year towards the 2011 conference in Durban, South Africa to see what further agreement that may produce.

ICTSD invites a Geneva-based audience to an engage in a half-day interactive dialogue on these topics.

This Roundtable will take place at the WTO, Centre William Rappard, Room CRI.
