In the Philippines, the national Intellectual Property Office (IPO) has been main beneficiary of direct, foreign intellectual property-related technical assistance. The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) has not received any foreign direct technical assistance.1 This paper reviews the sources and nature of technical assistance received by the IPO and concludes with reflections and recommendations.
