The International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD), an independent non-profit and non-governmental organization contributing to a better understanding of development and environment concerns in the context of international trade, seeks to recruit a competent professional to fill the following position:
 
Intellectual Property Programme Officer
 
The goal of this position is to assist with the implementation of projects under the ICTSD Programme on Intellectual Property and Sustainable Development. The main responsibilities are associated with the implementation of the intellectual property programme, programme coordination, communications and publications, outreach and networking, and project development, including assistance to develop funding proposals, preparation of budgets, organisation of meeting and website updating.
 
The post requires:  a Master Degree in international law, economics, political science or science policy, broad understanding of WTOIWIPO and issues related to intellectual property and sustainable development, including public health and climate change, as well as strong organization skills, and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
 
This post will be a full-time position initially for one year, with possibility of renewal depending on funding availability
