As BRIDGES Weekly Trade News Digest went to press on 8 May, the WTO General Council was meeting on a wide range of issues. These included the attendance of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) at the Fourth Ministerial Conference in Doha, Qatar; attendance of governmental and intergovernmental observers at Doha; document de-restriction; review of the Dispute Settlement Understanding; reports of the Special (negotiating) Sessions of the Committee on Agriculture and the Council for Trade in Services; reports on a pilot scheme for the Integrated Framework for trade-related technical assistance to Least Developed Countries (LDCs); and the accession of Iran and Moldova.
