The quest for a sustainable energy future is taking place against the backdrop of economic, political, environmental and social change. Global policy responses need to be coherent in supporting a shift to an equitable low carbon future. Trade policies should be part of this effort. Through targeted research, analysis, and policy dialogues, ICTSD’s Global Platform on Climate Change, Trade and Sustainable Energy provides options for promoting trade in climate-friendly goods and services and for forging international cooperation on sustainable energy supply.
