Development Situations

Development “situations” refer to clusters of circumstances common to many developing countries that may be related to opportunities, problems, and trade-related “bottlenecks” in the productive sector.

Shallow Manufacture Situations

Exports are concentrated on goods with little domestic value added and job creation. Furthermore, these countries generally face trade balance deficit in goods.

Small and Vulnerable Economies

Countries with high export concentration on a few products, low value added manufactures, small market share, no FDI except in a few natural resource based commodities.
