About the International Trade Law Programme
ICTSD’s International Trade Law Programme seeks to facilitate access to dispute settlement systems by enabling developing countries to make use of the options that are available to defend their trade rights and advance trade objectives.
Over the years, the Programme has established a unique role in the trade law community. It’s work on strengthening legal capacity generates research and analysis on the challenges posed by a rules-based system and builds the necessary international, regional and domestic networks for stakeholder cooperation and interaction.
It focuses on three main areas: strengthening legal capacity, monitoring WTO cases and improving the system’s functioning.
