ICTSD’s project on environmental goods and services (EGS) aims to enhance developing countries’ capacities to understand trade and sustainable development issue linkages with respect to EGS, and reflect regional perspectives and priorities in negotiations.
The project aims to support the crafting of trade rules on EGS that directly promote environment and sustainable development objectives. As such, it supports the development of concrete options that effectively contribute to sound environmental management while preserving developing countries’ flexibilities in promoting industry and economic development.
